(HealthDay News) -- Sun damage can lead to tough, leather-like skin, wrinkles and dark brown spots.
The Skin Cancer Foundation offers these suggestions to help the health and appearance of sun-damaged skin:
Protect skin by applying daily sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher, to prevent additional damage.
Remove dead skin cells from (exfoliate) your skin with a loofah, alpha hydroxy acid cleanser, gentle scrub or at-home microdermabrasion kit.
Hydrate skin with a thick, rich moisturizer.
